The course
The first aid course, sometimes called the Samaritan course, is the very first step towards your driving licence. In 10 hours, you learn life-saving skills: securing an accident scene, alerting emergency services, caring for an unconscious person, and performing CPR.
The course runs in two parts: a theory section (measures to take and alerting emergency services), then hands-on practice with mannequins and medical equipment, so you can train in real conditions. Its certificate, recognized by FEDRO, is mandatory to submit your learner’s permit application and remains valid for 6 years. You take it in Cornavin or Eaux-Vives, drinks and snacks included.
Who is it for
Anyone who wants to get their driving licence, car or motorcycle, whatever the category. It's the starting point of the journey, ideally done first. No prior knowledge or licence is required to sign up.
