A1 license or A license: what's the difference?
The A1 license covers motorcycles and scooters up to 125cc and 11 kW. The A license covers more powerful motorcycles: since 2021, you start with the A category limited to 35 kW, then you can move to unlimited power after 2 years of experience. The training path changes depending on the category you're aiming for: we're happy to guide you.
Basic course: 4h or 12h?
12h if you don't yet have any motorcycle category on your license. 4h if you already hold the A1 license and are moving up to the higher category. If in doubt, the number of hours to complete is written on the right side of your learner's permit.
Do I need to bring my own motorcycle?
Yes, for the basic courses you come with your own motorcycle or scooter, registered (L plate) and compliant with your learner's permit category (check its power), with its vehicle's road permit and a full tank. For introductory private lessons, we can lend you a vehicle: discuss with your instructor based on your plan.
What gear do I need to bring?
Approved gear: helmet (we can lend you one if needed), gloves, motorcycle jacket and pants, high motorcycle boots. We're happy to advise you before your first course.
I've never ridden: can I enroll directly in the basic course?
The basic course is not a beginner's course: you need to already know how to handle your two-wheeler. If you're starting from scratch, begin with an introductory private lesson with an instructor, then move on confidently to the basic course.
What happens if I can't make it to my session?
Courses are neither cancellable nor refundable, but you can reschedule your session free of charge by notifying us at least 72 working hours in advance, by phone. After that deadline, the course is due.
