Traffic theory: 8 mandatory hours before continuing training.
Step 6: Driving lessons
At your own pace, with a driving instructor. The number of lessons depends on your progress.
Step 7: Practical exam
The driving test with an OCV expert, on Geneva roads.
Step 8: Probationary licence (3 years)
Licence in hand! It's probationary for 3 years, and you must complete the 2-phase course (1 day) within 12 months of the exam.

Step 8: Practical exam
The driving test with an OCV expert: maneuvers then driving on Geneva roads.
Step 9: Probationary licence (3 years)
You're riding! The licence is probationary for 3 years: the 2-phase course (1 day) is mandatory within 12 months of the exam.

Show us your current licence and explain your situation. We speak French and English, and we'll guide you from the first exchange.
Step 2: Licence analysis
Depending on your country of origin, the exchange is direct or requires a practical exam. We'll check for you.
Step 3: File preparation
Forms, translations, documents: we'll put together a complete file with you, without forgetting anything.
Step 4: Preparation if exam required
Lessons focused on Swiss driving rules and local signage, with a driving instructor who knows the Geneva exam.
Step 5: File submission
Your exchange application is submitted to the OCV in Geneva. We'll follow its progress with you.
Step 6: Swiss driving licence in hand
You receive your Swiss driving licence. Congratulations, the road is yours!
